State Assessment - STAAR The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness is the current assessment that is given to measure college readiness and end-of-course understanding. STAAR is administered in grades 3-11 and includes five end-of-course assessments at the high school level. NISD is committed to providing students with a rigorous curriculum that fosters creativity, innovation and problem solving skills–not necessarily focused on multiple-choice tests. The district understands the state’s current system requires students to participate in standardized testing. These numbers are preliminary and will not be official until late August.
2015 STAAR Assessments scores will not be official until August. Charts listed are based on preliminary reports.
